For my birthday, our daughter Kendall surprised me with a custom Santa Claus cake made by CamisGotCake. Months later, for her mother’s birthday, Kendall asked Cami to create another special cake, this time modeled after a photo of her old friend Raisin, who was famous for his extra-long tongue that was always on display.

Getting to Know Each Other After a Long Journey

Siro arrives in the US

A very tired Siro exits his cargo stall after 30 hours in captivity. His flight delayed by 10 hours leaving Amsterdam, then landing in Miami at midnight. He had to wait for the Department of Agruculture officials to report to work to move him into quarantine. After 2 days in quarantine Siro traveled home to Vero Beach.

The Netherlands Trip Day 1

Val may only be five months old, but today he hosted his first international meet-and-greet with his new "stepsister" Kendall as Kendall and Claudia embark in preparing Sero for his trip home to Florida.

Another Perfect Horse Day in the Netherlands

Kendall and Claudia enjoy quality time with Sero before he heads off to his new home in Florida in a few weeks. We look forward to having him with us.

Alas, They Meet Again (Siro)

After several months of Siro’s training in the Netherlands, Claudia finally had the chance to mount him during her current visit overseas. When I asked her how it felt, she laughed and admitted, “I was so nervous!”
Siro is a big boy, no doubt—but at 5'11", Claudia makes him look almost modest in stature. She’s hoping to get in a few more rides before flying home on September 3rd.
Next stop for Siro? ✈️ Amsterdam to Miami this November! A new climate, a new chapter, and plenty of new strides ahead.

Just when I thought everyone would be back in US and no
more trips to the Netherlands, not!

Claudia says "This one's to resell." But her record of parting with things she
grows to love not too good. Guess that's why I still have a
place in the barn.

I think she just needs a business reason to visit friends under the windmills!

AUGUST

🦋 Monarch Magic in Our Garden

Claudia spotted a Monarch butterfly hovering around her silkworm plant a few days ago.
Not long after, tiny caterpillars appeared—so she gently placed a net
over the plant to shield them from curious birds and sneaky lizards.

Today, presto… baby Monarchs! Nature’s transformation never ceases to amaze.
